Just listened to Adam Bosworths Talk from the MySQL User Conference on ITConversations. His emphasis on using simple technologies as well as simplifying the problem really resonates with me. I have really enjoyed his blog and other talks.
It seems that the simple technologies always survive the complex. I sometimes like to look back at technologies that I have worked with in the past and ask my self which ones I wish I had not investing so much time in. Without fail, they are always the complex ones. Good things to keep in mind when we are deciding which technologies to invest our time on.
